Hobbit Writes About Berlin

After a lovely night sleep on the train we landed in Germany. The train station is neat and tidy, all of the escalators work, there is soap, TP and paper towels in the bathroom and the terminal is not swarming with would-be thieves.
There are advantages and disadvantages to being in Vogon-Land. At castle Newscheanstein you have a set time to do your tour. You queue up, then they walk you to the door where you wait for another ten minutes. Wendell and I arrived lat for our first queue up but instead of letting us go up ad join our ‘group’ at the door, the head Vogon punished us for being late by making us wait another hour for the next English tour, even though we could have just joined our group at the door.

Giant Bayer Aspirin

There is a memorial to Bayer Aspirin here in Berlin. Yup that’s right, there’s a giant 30 foot tall Aspirin in the courtyard.
